Video
A more focused way to watch.
On supported sites, OwnWeb offers its Focus player: the video, your controls and nothing shouting from the sidelines. Save the moments worth returning to.
Moments
Keep the moments worth returning to.
Saving a moment puts the time, the title and the link in your Library. Later, open it and the video resumes exactly there. Build playlists of moments across videos.

Watching, remembered
It knows where you were.
Video is where a browser usually forgets everything. OwnWeb keeps track, on your device.
- Continue watching
- Stop a long video halfway and it resumes from there next time, on supported players.
- Watch later
- Queue a video from any tab and find it in your Library.
- Notes at a timestamp
- Write a note against a moment and jump straight back to it.
- Search the words
- Where captions exist, search what was said and open the video at that line.
- Mute a noisy tab
- A tab playing sound shows a speaker; one click mutes it.
- Smoother playback
- An optional setting fetches the next part of a stream slightly ahead, within limits you can switch off.
Eligibility
Where these features work.
The Focus player is offered on sites OwnWeb has rules for, starting with YouTube and Vimeo. The list of supported sites updates from time to time without a browser update.
- ✓ Offered on supported sites, where the player and its controls are known.
- ✓ Saved moments and playlists for videos on those sites.
- — Not every site. Sites without rules get the ordinary page.
- — No downloading of videos and no offline playback of streamed or protected content.
