Seller terms

The agreement for developers who publish or sell apps through OwnWeb Apps: review, pricing, commission, refunds and payouts.

Applies when accounts openLast updated 13 October 2026 · DynStack Private Limited, Singapore

1This agreement

These terms apply between you and DynStack Private Limited (“OwnWeb”, “we”) when you submit, publish or sell an app in OwnWeb Apps. They add to the Terms of use; where the two differ about publishing or selling, these terms apply.

You confirm that you have the right to enter this agreement, and that the details you give us and our payment provider are true.

2Your app stays yours

You keep all rights in your app. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, review, build, sign, distribute, display and promote it in OwnWeb Apps, in the browser and on this website, for as long as it is published and afterwards so that people who already have it can keep using and reinstalling it.

You confirm that you own the app or are licensed to distribute it, that it includes the notices its open-source components require, and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.

3Source review and publication

You submit the app’s readable source. You choose whether the source is public or submitted privately to our reviewers. Private source is used only to review and build your app, and is not disclosed to other developers or to the public.

Reviewers check what the app does against the permissions it declares and against our rules. The reviewed source is built and signed by us, and that signed build is what people install. You may ask for the shipped build to be obfuscated.

A review is not a guarantee, and approval does not transfer responsibility for the app to us. Every new version is reviewed before it is published. We may decline a submission and will tell you why.

4Rules for apps

  • Declare every permission the app uses, and use them only for the purpose you describe.
  • Describe the app, its price and what is free truthfully.
  • Do not collect personal data the app does not need, and say plainly what leaves the device.
  • Do not include malware, hidden functions, undeclared network use, or code downloaded and run after review.
  • Follow the Acceptable use policy and the law in the places where you offer the app.
  • Give buyers a way to reach you for support.

5Pricing

You set your own prices. An app may be free, a one-time purchase, or a monthly or yearly subscription. The lowest paid price is US$1.

A free app may add paid features later. Features you offered for free must stay free for the people who have the app.

You may choose to offer discount codes, an introductory first month at US$1, or bundles. A discount you offer is funded from your share. We may run promotions at our own cost; these do not reduce what you receive.

6Commission and what you receive

We sell your app to the buyer and collect payment. Our commission is 20% of the price excluding tax. You receive the remaining 80%.

Payment processing fees are paid out of our commission and are not deducted from your share.

Where the law makes us responsible for sales tax, VAT or GST on a sale, we collect and pay it, and it is not part of the amount shared. You are responsible for tax on your own income.

7Refunds and disputes

Purchases are final. A refund is given only for a charge made in error or where consumer law requires it, as our Refund policy sets out. We decide refund requests and tell you about them.

When a sale is refunded, the refund is paid from your share of that sale; our commission is not returned. If you have already been paid for it, the amount is deducted from your later earnings or, if there are none, you repay it.

If a buyer’s bank reverses a payment, the sale is treated as refunded.

8Payouts

Payouts are made through Stripe Connect. To be paid you must complete Stripe’s onboarding, accept its terms and keep your details up to date. Selling is available only in countries we and Stripe support.

Earnings are settled once a month for the previous calendar month, to the bank account you registered. You receive a statement of each sale, refund and payout.

We may hold a payout while a refund, dispute, suspected fraud or a breach of these terms is being looked into, or where the law requires it.

9Reports and buyer data

You receive reports about your own apps: installs, sales and refunds. Reports do not identify buyers. Data that people put into your app stays on their devices and under their control; you receive only what your app openly asks for and they agree to give.

10Removing an app

You may withdraw an app from sale at any time. People who already have it keep it, and subscribers keep it until the period they paid for ends.

We may suspend or remove an app, or switch off one that is harmful, if it breaks these terms or the law, or following a valid complaint. Where we can, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

11Responsibility

You are responsible for your app, its content, its support and any claim that it infringes someone’s rights or harmed a user, and you will cover our reasonable costs arising from such a claim.

The limits on our liability in the Terms of use apply to this agreement.

12Changes and ending

We may change these terms and will give you at least 30 days’ notice of a change to the commission or to payouts. You may end this agreement by withdrawing your apps. Amounts owed to you for sales already made will still be paid.

This agreement is governed by the laws of Singapore.
