1This agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and DynStack Private Limited, a company registered in Singapore (“OwnWeb”, “we”, “us”). They apply when you install or use the OwnWeb browser or its phone apps, use this website, create an OwnWeb account, or use OwnWeb Apps, sync, the wallet or any other service we provide (together, the “service”).
By using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. If you use the service for a business, you agree on its behalf and confirm you are allowed to.
Our Privacy notice, Refund policy and Acceptable use policy form part of these terms. If you publish apps, the Seller terms also apply.
2Your licence to use OwnWeb
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the OwnWeb software on devices you own or control, for as long as you follow these terms. The software is licensed to you, not sold.
The software and the service, and all intellectual property rights in them, belong to us or our licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers any of those rights to you. “OwnWeb” and its logos may not be used without permission.
The software includes open-source components. Each is licensed to you under its own licence, listed on the Licences page, and those licences take priority over these terms for that component.
You may not copy or redistribute the software except as the law or an open-source licence allows, remove notices, or get around technical limits in it.
3Your account
You do not need an account to browse. An account is needed for sync, purchases and publishing.
Give accurate details, keep your sign-in details secret and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Accounts are for adults; if you are under 18 you need the permission of a parent or guardian.
One person, one account. A team or family space may have several members, each with their own account.
4Your content and your data
What you create and store with OwnWeb is yours. We claim no ownership of it.
Most of it stays on your device. When you turn on sync, publish a page or share with other people, you give us permission to store, copy and transmit that content only as needed to provide the service to you.
Synced data is encrypted with keys we do not hold. If you lose every device and your recovery key, we cannot recover it for you. Keeping the recovery key safe is your responsibility.
Keep your own backups of anything important. The browser can make them.
5Apps and other developers
OwnWeb Apps offers apps from us and from other developers. We review the source of published apps, but a review is not a guarantee. An app from another developer is provided by that developer, who is responsible for it and for supporting it.
Each app states the permissions it needs. By installing it you allow it to use them. You can remove an app at any time.
Apps you import yourself or have the agent create are not reviewed by us. You install them at your own risk.
We may remove an app from OwnWeb Apps, or switch off an app that is harmful or breaks the law, including on devices where it is installed. You keep the copies of a removed app that you already installed, unless it was switched off because it is harmful.
6The AI agent and AI features
The agent acts on your instructions and with your approval. You are responsible for the tasks you give it and for what you approve, including anything it sends, submits or changes on a website in your name.
AI output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check anything that matters before relying on it. The agent is not a source of legal, medical, financial or other professional advice.
If you connect an AI provider, your use of that provider is under its terms, and you are responsible for any charges it makes. Use the agent only on websites and with accounts you are allowed to use, and follow those websites’ terms.
7Purchases, plans and the wallet
Prices are shown before you pay and are in US dollars unless stated. Taxes are added where they apply.
A plan or subscription renews at the end of each period at the current price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your account; it then runs to the end of the period you paid for. We tell you in advance about a price change, which applies from your next period.
The wallet holds prepaid credit for buying things in OwnWeb. Wallet credit is not a bank deposit and earns no interest. It does not expire, cannot be transferred to another person, cannot be withdrawn as cash and is not refunded. Promotional and gift credit has no cash value.
A paid app or feature is licensed to your account. What an app offers for free stays free.
Purchases are final except as the Refund policy sets out.
8Using the service properly
Follow the Acceptable use policy. In short: do not use OwnWeb to break the law, to harm other people or their systems, to send spam, to infringe someone else’s rights, or to interfere with the service.
9Changes to the service and to these terms
OwnWeb changes as it is developed. We may add, change or remove features, and the browser may update itself or ask you to update so that it stays secure. If we withdraw something you paid for, we will give reasonable notice.
We may change these terms. We update the date at the top, and for a significant change we tell account holders in advance. If you keep using the service after a change takes effect, you accept it.
10Ending this agreement
You can stop using OwnWeb and delete your account at any time. Your licence to use the software ends if you break these terms in a serious way.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk or is required to be closed by law. Where we can, we tell you first and give you a chance to put things right. Data on your own devices is not affected.
11What we promise, and what we do not
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, or that the agent or any app will achieve a particular result.
Websites, apps from other developers, AI providers and other third-party services are not ours, and we are not responsible for them.
12Limits on our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer.
Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for indirect or consequential loss; and our total liability to you in any twelve months is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period and US$50.
13Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and may bring a claim in your local courts where those laws allow it.
If a part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a term, we may still do so later. You may not transfer this agreement; we may transfer it to a company that takes over the service.
