1What this covers
OwnWeb runs on your device and we do not watch what you do with it. This policy sets out what you agree not to do with the parts of OwnWeb that reach other people or our systems: the AI agent acting on websites, apps you publish, pages you publish from an app, mail you send through an app, shared spaces, and our own services.
2What is not allowed
- Breaking the law, or helping someone else to.
- Content that sexualises children, or that threatens, harasses or incites violence against people.
- Malware, phishing, or attempts to get into systems, accounts or data you are not authorised to access.
- Spam: bulk messages, form submissions, sign-ups or reviews that the recipients did not ask for.
- Fraud, impersonation, or deceiving people about who you are or what you are selling.
- Infringing someone else’s copyright, trade mark or privacy.
- Overloading, probing or interfering with our services or anyone else’s.
- Reselling the service, or using one account to provide a service to others, without our agreement.
3Using the AI agent
The agent acts in your name. Use it only on websites and with accounts you are allowed to use, and follow those websites’ terms.
- Do not use it to get past a website’s security, CAPTCHAs, paywalls or rate limits.
- Do not use it to collect personal data about people in bulk.
- Do not use it to create accounts, post or send messages at a scale a person would not.
- Do not use it to make decisions about people, such as hiring or credit, without a human checking the result.
4Apps, hosted pages and mail
Apps you publish must follow the Seller terms. Pages you publish from an app, such as a form, a booking page or a website, and mail you send through an app, must not contain anything listed above.
When you collect other people’s details through a form, a booking page or a newsletter, you are responsible for telling them how you will use them, for having their consent where the law requires it, and for honouring requests to unsubscribe.
5Shared spaces
Invite only people who expect it. An admin of a team or family space is responsible for who is a member. Content in a shared space is encrypted and we cannot see it; members are responsible for what they put there.
6What happens if this policy is broken
We may remove a published app or a hosted page, limit a feature, or suspend or close an account. For serious harm we act immediately; otherwise we tell you first and give you a chance to put things right. We may report illegal activity to the authorities.
